Our Frequently Asked Questions

does it cost anything to talk to you ?

No - every consultation is free

What is the difference between a Public Adjuster and the Insurance Company Adjuster?

A Public Adjuster is an all-lines insurance claims adjuster, licensed with the State of Florida’s Department of Insurance, who works for YOU the policyholder, NOT for the insurance company. We are not attorneys. We are highly experienced and trained insurance claims specialists who get you ALL the money you deserve.

Why do I need a Public Adjuster?

The insurance companies retain adjusters who protect their interests. These adjusters will adjust the loss in the best interest of the insurance company. In the event of an insurance loss, failure to comply with the exact terms of your insurance policy may jeopardize or void your coverage. We, as Public Adjusters, will represent YOUR interest in the claim and see that all the maximum payable benefits under your policy are allowed.

Why not let the insurance company settle your claim for you?

In the event of an insurance loss, the insurance company will send their company adjuster to inspect and adjust the loss in the best interest of the insurance company. Would you let the IRS fill out your tax return for you? Many insurance companies use inexperienced or out-of-state adjusters who may not be familiar with your local construction practices, building codes and standard industry pricing and therefore not adjust your claim properly.

Can my contractor negotiate my claim with the Insurance Company?

NO. They are not properly licensed to adjust insurance claims. See link from the Florida Department of Financial Services (previously the Florida Department of Insurance) for further information.

Please be aware, it’s illegal in the State of Florida for contractors to settle any insurance claim.

How long do I have to reopen my claim?

You have 3 years from the date of loss to reopen a claim.  Even if you have received one or more payments you can reopen your claim for a supplemental payment.

How much does it cost?

You do not pay us anything until you are paid by the Insurance Company. There is no initial cost or obligation as your initial consultation is FREE

There is a small fee (between 10-20%) of the money you receive from the Insurance Company after deductible. You are not required to pay this fee until the Insurance Company pays you.

If we do not settle or increase your claim-you do not pay.

What can we do for you?

In the event of a property insurance loss we take control from the beginning, by preparing the proper detailed inventories, which are required by most insurance companies. We research your insurance policy to be sure that all applicable coverage is made available to you. We then ensure that a fair value is established for your damaged real property and belongings to your best advantage.

Every policy is different. Let us review your policy to see what additional coverages you may be entitled to. Get a free claim review.
